ARACHNES IN KLASSICA 2026/27
IN KLASSICA is a musical project dedicated to reworking iconic classical masterpieces. Our inspiration is rooted in the harmony, clarity, and majestic proportions of the neoclassical era, brought to life through a distinctly contemporary soundscape. Focusing primarily on Italian composers, the project aims to transfigure original scores, infusing them with new energy through bold rock arrangements. Anchored by essential rock instrumentation—guitar, bass, and drums—and enriched by the warm, immersive textures of the Hammond organ and piano, it builds a sonic bridge connecting timeless solemnity with modern power and epic scale.
Many legendary bands, keyboardists, and guitarists have tackled classical themes—from Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow with the iconic “Difficult To Cure”, to Yngwie Malmsteen’s reinterpretations of Vivaldi and Bach, to Keith Emerson, one of the true pioneers who first recognized the raw power of fusing classical music and rock with The Nice and Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
While these icons remain our lifelong stylistic reference points, our work with Arachnes takes a different path. Recreating what these masters had already executed so brilliantly made no sense. Instead, our objective was to single out the core themes and harmonies and present them not through a virtuosic or heavy metal lens, but through pure, authentic rock tone that honours the original narrative.
Our core arrangement philosophy relies on a process of synthesis and intelligent reduction of complex orchestral parts, reinterpreting them through classic triad and tetrad harmonies. This approach presents the listener with a streamlined, accessible beauty highlighted by the work’s primary melodic themes. There are no self-indulgent virtuoso passages; every element serves the arrangement, keeping the focus entirely on melodic storytelling. This is more than music—it is an experience that reveals the timelessness of classical genius, proving its greatness can still deeply move and resonate in the heart of the modern era.
The narrative power of classical music runs through the entire history of rock, with the aesthetic form itself serving as the ultimate synthesis. Composers like Rossini and Verdi were the rock stars of their day—rebellious and loud, yet driven by a narrative structure closer to Hard Rock than Heavy Metal, while remaining undeniably contemporary.
Choosing an exclusively instrumental repertoire is a celebration of the classical realm, where the human voice functions as an added color or a spoken narrator. Classical masterworks stood entirely on melody and harmony—much like rock does through its riffs, themes, and driving rhythms.

IN KLASSICA è un progetto musicale dedicato alla rielaborazione di celebri opere classiche. La nostra ispirazione affonda le radici nell’armonia, nella chiarezza e nella maestosa proporzione del mondo neoclassico, che rivive attraverso una lente sonora decisamente contemporanea. Improntato principalmente su autori italiani, il progetto si pone l’obiettivo di trasfigurare la partitura originale, infondendole nuove energie in versioni più rock. L’utilizzo di strumenti di riferimento del genere come chitarra, basso e batteria, arricchito dal calore avvolgente di Hammond e Pianoforte, crea un ponte sonoro tra l’antica solennità e la potenza ed epicità dell’era moderna.
Molte storiche Band, tastieristi e chitarristi si sono cimentati nella rielaborazione di temi classici, dai Rainbow di Ritchie Blackmore con la celebre “Difficult To Cure”, a Y.J.Malmsteen con diverse rielaborazioni di A. Vivadi e J. S. Bach, per non parlare di Keith Emerson, uno dei primi con i suoi Nice e poi con Emerson Lake & Palmer ad aver intuito la forza di una contaminazione fra musica classica e rock.
Loro sono dei nostri riferimenti stilistici, da sempre, ma ciò che con Arahcnes abbiamo cercato di elaborare è qualcosa di diverso: non aveva senso infatti rifare quello che già magistralmente ed egregiamente era stato fatto da altrettanti Maestri. Il nostro obiettivo era quello di focalizzare i temi, le armonie, e riproporli non in chiave virtuosistica o metal, ma semplicemente con le sonorità Rock, rispettando quindi la narrativa originale.
Il principio fondamentale di arrangiamento si traduce in un processo di sintesi e ‘riduzioni’ intelligenti delle complesse parti orchestrali, reinterpretate attraverso armonie tradizionali per triadi e quatriadi. Questo approccio posiziona l’ascoltatore di fronte a una forma più semplice, una bellezza accessibile e immediata che viene evidenziata dalla narrazione dei temi principali dell’opera. Non vi sono quindi parti eccessivamente virtuose se non finalizzate allo stesso arrangiamento; la visione globale è proiettata interamente verso la narrazione dei temi melodici. Non si tratta solo di musica, ma di un’esperienza che rivela l’atemporalità del genio classico, dimostrando come la sua grandezza possa ancora emozionare e risuonare con forza nel cuore pulsante del nostro tempo.
La forza narrativa della Musica Classica, è presente in tutta la storia del Rock, e la sessa forma estetica ne è la sintesi. Rossini, Verdi, erano Rock per i loro tempi, chiassosi al punto giusto, ma con una forma narrativa che è tipica più dell’ Hard Rock che dell’Heavy Metal, ma sicuramente contemporaneo.
La scelta inoltre, ad oggi, di riferirsi ad un solo repertorio strumentale, è una esaltazione del mondo classico, laddove la voce non è che un colore se non un testo narrato da un libro o opera letteraria. Le opera classiche si reggevano sulla sola melodia ed armonia, cosi come buona parte del rock, con i suoi riff, i suoi temi, e i suoi ritmi.
